No, only show dogs are usually kept long........there are a few pet owners that keep them long like me but most keep them in a puppy cut. We got a maltese because we liked the look of the long flowing hair so a puppy cut for Kallie was not an option...........we love to see her run and the hair flips and flows........lovely lovely picture to see that!!! And same with the Yorkie, we liked the long look too so we keep them both that way and probably will never trim until it drags on the floor. lol
Well, I have to go and do their daily brush and I am running out of time before hubby comes home. Nice to "discuss" these various topics!!! LOL See ya later ......... maybe!!!
