Luca Dean has HORRIBLE breath all the time! Even after I brush his teeth! Greenies are only temporary help. Any ideas? He drinks plenty and eats only Science Diet, his oil supplements (vit. E, olive oil, and a carrot oil blend,) small pieces of Marrowbone treats, and meat baby food. Also gets plenty of rawhide chewing in, which I thought helped breath? Is it because he's teething, or are small dogs more prone to bad breath?
Anyway, Dean would chew on the toothbrush on his own for a few days, but once he started teething, it's became hell trying to get anything in there to clean. I'm going to keep trying, just to get him in a habit. |
