I'd love to get Lexie off the canned food altogether. I'm using Authority lamb & rice now which contains no wheat gluten but it's just so incredibly scary right now with the recalls. Last summer I had to put down my beloved collie, Cheyenne, due to chronic renal failure and I simply CANNOT go through that again.
Thank you all so much for the advice and suggestions. I'll definitely try a gradual switch and see how she does.
I'm excited to see if there will be a change after eating Canidae for a while. She's super healthy now but I have noticed some paw licking and very runny eyes some days. I don't know if it's from being outside or the food. We shall see!
