A few years ago when I was living with my ex we had some friends that lived across the road from us and the road was one of the two main ones through our village. One afternoon I'd walked over to see them and one of my cats followed me. Their Rotti saw my cat and started to chase it, Fluffy ran down the drive and out of sight followed closely by Maxi. Next thing as we running after them there was a screech of tyres and an almighty bang... when we got to the road a car had hit Maxi and killed her out right. It was awful, I felt so bad about cuz it was my cat's fault for following me. Accidents can happen so quickly and you rarely get a chance to do anything about them. |
Thanks for your thoughts. Yes his roommate feels horrible and was upset as well. He really did love her too and he had to see her after she was hit and had to take her to the vet to be cremated. So it was hard on him too. I know his heart is crushed as well. But my boy will get through it. It just happens so quickly............
