No problem at all! That's about the only way to do it but like everyone said the dogs don't always play by the rules. Jewelina has always been on Canidae but I switched Jaden from Chicken Noodle Soup for the puppy lovers soul and as soon as the Canidae was in his bowl he wouldn't touch the other stuff. So, if your baby won't play by the rules they might have soft stool for a few days but it should harden back up once they get used to it. If you have problems with runny stool you could try mixing in a little rice in there, it tends to calm the stomache and makes their stool harden back up a bit.
Canidae is an AWESOME food! One of the best if not the best one on the market in my opinion. You made a great choice!
