She was litter box trained, and just STOPPED using it Our yorkiepoo is only 4 pounds - and when she was a puppy, she was less than a pound, so our vet recommended we "puppy pad" train her (in a litter box) so she could have all the access she needed to potty (since she had such a little bladder). Well... this worked GREAT for about a year and a half, and then, POOF, she stopped pooping in it. She still pees in it downstairs, but will not use her pad at all upstairs. In the past, she would only poop out of her "box" (where her puppy pad was) about once a month, for some unknown reason, and when we would have company over, she would poop in front of them (we think she was trying to give them a 'gift')
So here's our problem: We mind that she stopped pooping in the box, but our real concern is when we have children. We're in our late twenties, and would like to get a handle on this before we start trying. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't know what we're supposed to do now...
THANKS!
