He was sleeping and just woke up and start limping. I took him to vet yesterday and we did a blood work on him and she gave me some medicine for his cough and about the leg, The vet said he dislocated his kneecap and only way to fix it is to wait and let it pop back in or do a surgery, but she said since he is old surgery wouldn't be worth it. So my question is what you think i should do? and also since the visit from vet, he hasnt been eating or anything. All he does is drinks water and sleeps. I am little worried. Please let me know whats best thing I can do.
Hi and welcome to the board!
So sorry Bear is sick! Hope the medicine for the cough helps. I think sometimes the little kneecap can be popped back into place ... maybe his can since it wasn't due to an injury! You might want to ask your vet about giving him some Nutri-Cal every day since he doesn't have an appetite? We give Toto 2cc every day and it helps with her sugar level and also is full of all kinds of vitamins. Hope he is better soon ... please keep us updated!!
