I believe a year is normally the right time to do the switch, but you might want to call and check with your vet just to be sure. I wouldn't switch right over, but would gradually switch by mixing the two types of food. Start with 1/4 new food, then 1/2, then 3/4, until you are completely switched over. This will be better for their stomach and reduce the chances of diarreah. |
