I have noticed this myself with Gizmo. Most times he doesn't eat much, but couple times a week he can't get enough.
I keep dry out always and he get's his wet food in the morning and at supper time. Makes for a lot of waste because I won't leave the wet down for more than a few hours before chunking it out. Then I get the bright idea to just put down a little bit of wet just in case..and THAT'S the day he's hungry!
