My three girls
used to bark their little brains out. I got a metal ball (an empty coke can will work too) and put a few pennies in there. It is sealed so the pennies don't come out. when the girls started their barking i shook that can right over them and said QUIET in a VERY stern voice. They stopped immediately! Every time they started barking, i shook the can and said QUIET. Now all i have to do is say QUIET, and they shut up. I keep the can handy and have only had to shake it a couple of time after that. They don't bark hardly at all now...at least i can control it with the shaker can. Yorkie ears are very sensitive so this really gets their attention fast and they stop.
