....over here in Scotland it comes with the puppy usually, but if the breeder doesn't give it, then phone up some companies and tell them you are expecting a new puppy and do they do 6 weeks free insurance until you decide to take up the full policy. ......as long as the vet gives the puppy a clean bill of health, you would be able to claim on anything that comes after.

could wait for another puppy, but i would speak to the breeder about a reduction - it's worth a try - especially if she is going to be a pet only.....you pay the full price for the healthy puppy, not one that has had a problem already, even if it is fixed. .....you will have the inconvenience of not getting her until she is sorted, and you are the one worrying at a time when you should have been ecstatic !
