.....once the hernia is closed it should be fine, as it's only a hole in the skin which can be repaired.
.....leave the puppy with the breeder until she has fully recovered and you are happy with her.
.....i would ask your breeder for a written statement from the vet saying that the dog is now fully mended and is now 100% fit with that problem sorted.....also ask for 6 weeks free insurance from the breeder.
