Also, if the puppy having a tail is a deal breaker for you, please do not get it. Do not amputate the tail at this point!!! If you must have a yorkie without a tail, keep searching, but from what I understand it should be done just a few days after they are whelped and would be extremely painful for the pup at this point. JMO.

Hi - I had 2 pups to choose from, a small one at 1 # and a bigger one at 1.9 #. Because we have 2 BIG dogs already, an English Mastiff and a Dalmation, I chose the bigger one. I believe this is larger than normal for a pup at 6 weeks? Yeah, a bit sad the puppy had to leave at 6 weeks too....kinda unhappy that my breeder insisted on it now.
