Kimberly - I don't mean to "question" your knowledge... but have you ever tried these TIPS yourself? I'm just wondering because I've always been told to "never" give a dog any type of pasta/macaroni/noodles. I had a female AKC Bull Mastiff approximately 29 years ago that died from someone feeding her macaroni. She blew up like a beach ball. We had no idea what it was as we hadn't mated her and she was on dry food - so we took her to our vet (right then) and she died on the table. He said she was full of macaroni - that is had swelled in her stomach and become toxic. Maybe things have changed after 29 yrs - but that was something I will never forget. Just wondering... |
wow, i'm sorry to hear about your mastiff. it happened so quicly. maybe your mastiff had bloat or a twisted stomach? i honestly doubt it was the actually macaroni that did it but it could have been the way she ate it. SHe may have been eating too much to fast and swallowed alot of air (which would explain the 'beach ball' effect).
