Do you free feed her or is she on a schedule? If she's on a schedule, she will get more excited about treats (even with meds in them).
I tear a small piece of thin sliced turkey meat and give one with out the med. Then I give a second one that the med is hidden in. I make a big deal and tease them before I give the first piece.
The anticipation kills them and when they finally get it - GULP! It's gone!
Staph infection is usually a result of allergies so you really want to keep a close eye on her. At the first sign of the itchies, get her on the Benidryl and stop when she is not itchy anymore. Make sure the food has no corn or wheat and don't give her any dairy products.
Jazzie is on Natural Balance Duck & Potato and her allergies has really been cut back. Since your kiddo is only 5 mo., the kibbles will be too big so use a food processor or even a cheap coffee bean grinder and break them down to a more manageable size if you want to try the food. It's good for puppies and adults.
