I've had males and females and I believe that the males fall in love with you and the females just love you.
My males always followed me around, cuddled with me, worshipped the ground I walked on. I worked with them to respect our home so they didnt mark inside.
My females are always in competition with me - who gets the most compliments when we're in public. They win hands down!
I really think a puppy picks you. Just looking at a puppies face, features, their little bodies will call to you and whether they are male or female won't matter. All you'll know is you're hooked and then you're life begins.
