that's just ridiculous of the vet. Laser surgery is still surgery. If he's willing to let the ones who get the laser surgery go home same day then he should let the blade surgery ones go home too. he probably doesn't give any extra meds or IV treatment overnight. I'd bring this up with him and ask if you can bring her home that night because you are a nurse and you do know about after surgery care.
