Hi! Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Glad to have you here!

About the tail, I personally would leave his tail alone, but that's just my opinion. I think the tails are cute!! I've seen some cute pics posted here of yorkies with tails.

I think tails are usually docked when they are only a few days old, I don't know if you can do it at this age, but I'm sure one of our breeders here would know if that is what you'd like to do.

Good luck with your new puppy and welcome to YT. Oh, and post some pictures when you can........we love pictures here!!
