I hope Maya will be able to get meds and be just fine.....I have heard success stories with Cushing's...... |
I am concerned that Maya has had this for awhile as she has had these skin issues and weight gain for a couple of years. The vet that I kept getting for Maya at the place I go to was new and he never seemed to know what to do. When I took her in last week for the worsening skin problems I was the one that suggested I take her to a dermatologist who in turn suspected Cushings as soon as she saw her. He also diagnosed her with the thyroid problem which now they think she doesn't really have but the cushings made her test look abnormal. Was the year a good year for your dog or was he sick a lot? Thanks
