I don't have any trouble - I get mine from Jeffers pet.com and they are really good - they come in 5 different colors per pack and since they are so long and so wide - I cut them in half lengthwise so they are not so wide on these little ones necks. You can write on them with a fine marker - the pointed ones for permanently marking a CD are best- I put mamas name on them until someone reserves and names them . of course I have a excel sheet with all mama's and puppies so I know who goes with who.

One word of caution to anyone that uses them === be sure you check them daily as these little guys all grow differently and one that is loose today is tight tomorrow ( I change them often ) and don't check just one in the litter - Check each puppy daily - you won't need to change them all daily but even one that needs changed is important. I probably only have to put new ones on every puppy 2 or 3 times but PLEASE if you have more that one litter or you mark the babies when they are reserved - Check Those Collars Daily.

I don't like yarn - they can get their front feet caught unless its nearly tight especially in the very young that still just scoot around - don't know how they do it but they do. I am speaking from actual experience so I have used every thing over the years and like these paper collars best - its what works for me and they are so easy to see even when the babies get fluffy like mine are - those bright colors stand out.
