labs require ALOT of patience when they are young, but with the right training, they can become the most wonderful dogs ever... just remember, he is in a new place and is probly confused. Have patience with him, make sure he knows you are the boss(above suggestions are right on). My lab is the best behaved dog I have(I have 5) She was a little spastic when she was about 3 months until probly 9 months, but alot of training and spending time with her were definitely required.
