If it isn't the real thing or if you don't care whether it is or not it is the "real" deal or not....I would clean it up alittle and take it back. Nothing dishonest about that. I agree, most stores do have a 30 day return policy, no matter what the reason is....or they may only offer store credit. Good luck w/ your situation!
