People who never had animals growing up really do have a different take on it.
And I feel sorry for them.
There has never been a time in my life that there hasn't been a creature of some kind in my house. More often than not, it's been multiple numbers and species simultaneously.
Some have only stayed for a matter of hours (baby birds, rabbits, squirrels, and once, a puppy that someone had dumped) but we always think of it as God sending them for some comfort and to keep them from dying alone. Other times, they stay for years and years. All but two of them (both Yorkies) were strays! |
