Ok here's the problem .......my cousin has a yorkie also and she got him at 9wks and his hair was always silky but thin and sparse now he is 9.5 mths and his hair is getting thicker but still silky he is black and gold deep gold and its just starting to grow, my delima is ....aren't silky coated yorkies silky from day 1(he has been) and if so wouldn't that mean you can tell as early a 9weeks or younger? what do you look for? and is it possible for a yorkie's coat to change once out of the puppy stage into silk or am I crazy?.....Please! breeders help me out here.I am not breeding and I just want to know if keeping him in full coat will ever be a possibility..Also what are the different types of silk and how do you know??/
