Ok, I put a call into the vet, but they can not see me until Friday morning.
I wanted to get everyones opinion of this, and see if maybe I can get some advice in the meantime.
Percy has started "scooting" on his butt. Just a little but this morning. I almost thought he just had an itch. Then when he had his morning BM he was scooting around a lot. Then the scooting stopped, until this afternoon, when he was having his afternoon BM. After the BM, no more scooting. I made sure he was clean and checked out his bottom area. His little rectum is all swollen and puckered the wrong way. Does this mean his anal glands need to be done? I have never done them before, and when I asked the vet, they told me not to, and to let them do it.
I checked his poop, (visually) and did not see any evidence of worms, pus, or anything that shouldn't be there. He is on preventative heartworm, and flea meds. I just changed his food, could this be causing it?
As cute as it is to see them scooting on their little bottoms....I really want to figure out what this is.
