This whole thread has been very emotional from the start. The OP has posted a lot of information, but it has been scattered here and there. Some things that she posted are very confusing, hard to follow and picture the exact situation and chain of events. Never the less, I took her story as serious. I took a personal stake b/c for some reason I felt a connection, maybe b/c we both are living on Long Island, maybe b/c she has a boy and a girl Yorkie (just like me), maybe b/c I am Polish too. Whatever the reason, I felt the urgency and wanted to help. I did not call her Vet, even though she posted who the Vet was and where. I have only gone by what has been posted here on YT. I spent ALL of yesterday worrying about Tahoe, b/c YES Tahoe is paralyzed and he REALLY does need surgery. This is definitely true, there is a Yorkie named Tahoe who is going through this nightmare as we speak.

I suggested the Specialist and the Hospital that I took Roxy to have her Luxating Patella surgery at. She is an excellent Dr. Roxy surgery cost $4000 ? We didn?t have that kind of money just lying around. I work paycheck to paycheck, but we somehow found away for it. This summer TJ also has to have the same surgery ? another $4000. So, I know what stress is like too. I have $8000 debt in Yorkie surgery in 1 year.

I offered to donate a small amount of $ (b/c I can?t afford much) to the OP to seek a Specialist?s help. I gave her my personal phone # and was begging her to call me b/c I was frantic and thought this matter needed urgency, and I was willing to drop everything and brainstorm to try and find this baby help - immediately. I told her suggestions of the Care Card, the Hospital I recommended has Payment Plans, I have asked a acquaintance of mine who is a Board Member of www.petpeeves.org to please ask around to find out if we can get her some type of financial assistance, other people have mentioned Yard Sales (which, I?d be more than happy to assist in as well), and as a final resort, I asked her to consider a Yorkie Rescue, b/c she was refusing ever other suggestion, I thought this poor little soul desperately needs surgery and maybe that would be his only hope. She was not happy at all with any suggestions, advice or help.

I honestly feel that she came here to find ways and suggestions from ppl to ?home care? for Tahoe. I could be wrong, but with all the options and advice given to her, why is she not ecstatic that there is hope???

Kasia ? I have apologized to you b/c you told me I hurt your feelings. That was not my intentions at all, as I told you, I honestly thought that all my advice, suggestions and offers were only to support you and to find the necessary medical care for Tahoe. I am still here and still willing to help for Tahoe?s well being.

Please listen to the Yorkie Moms who have babies with AAI. Only you can confirm that this is what Tahoe has, BUT I know from experience (with Roxy I saw 4 Vets and 2 Specialist) that Long Island and New York in general have some of the BEST Vet Doctors ? who can accurately diagnose. I am sure that your Vets have already diagnosed Tahoe?s condition and I am sure they have explained to you thoroughly the options and have offered and told you the best route for him.

Lastly, Yorkietalk is an awesome place to call Home. We are family here and all we want is the best possible for our Yorkies and other members Yorkies too!
