I would imagine an open wound means: He did not suture her properly because when my pup was spayed, she didn't have pain meds (kept for two days) but antibiotic to prevent infection.was sent home. Her follow-up visit was included with the spaying.

Either way, she will needs to be sutured or she will not heal properly and most likely have infection which could be life threatening. I would have her sutured because it is imperative.

Be strong and your baby is scared and hurting. Also, when she comes back home, she must be very quiet, rest and no jumping.
