I really truly love Starbucks coffee. After what happened last night, I am a committed Starbucks fan -- a boring one who only gets dark rich coffee in LARGE -- or maybe a GRANDE if I am feeling particularly frisky..... anyway here is my Starbucks story.
Rome is getting a new Starbucks "place" I don't guess you would call it a restaurant, but anyway it is going up FAST. Hubby and I went out for Mexican last night at our favorite Mexican Restaurant, Las Palmas. Nothing tops off a good dinner like a Starbucks coffee. When we passed the "new" Starbucks the parking lot was packed and people were going in and out so I had hubby whip into the parking lot, and I dashed inside. It "felt" odd 'casue there were no customers. Several people were having a "meeting" behind the counter and I kinda grinned and said, "You guys aren't open, are you?" The main dude said no we open on the 20th. I kinda sorta SHAMELESSLY BEGGED and I said I REALLY NEED A CUP OF STARBUCKS. He was so sweet and sincere. The nice man said, I don't have my coffee yet or any cream , but I can make you an expresso with whole milk....
Bless that sweet man -- he made me an expresso added the milk and a splenda and when I tried to pay, he said, "NO CHARGE". Just come back when we open. I am in love! I have a new favorite place in Rome, Georgia! Starbucks on Turner McCall Blvd.
