you have to becareful about what you read on the internet. The internet gets a lot of people paranoid because anyone can write their opinion on anything and that written piece can be sited by others as truth when in fact its only one persons opinion.
As a vet technician and someone who has a BS in biology and pre veterinary studies who has taken classes on dog nutrition, behavior, and medical care (among other things) i can tell you that the aafco isn't as bad as people make it seem. When looking for a dog food i check the bag to make sure it says "Animal feeding tests using AAFO procedures substantiate that "DOG FOOD NAME" provides complete and balanced nutrition for the maintenance of adult/puppy/geriatric dogs"
This was you know that the food has been analysed and tested by chemists and dogs for palatability and nutritional needs. But of course people can say that my statement is medically opinionated because that's what i was "fed" in school and at work, so it all depends on who you want to trust.
