I tend to disagree that 'surgery is only needed if limping - even in Grade 3 and 4'. I was told that once the cartiledge is worn away from constant luxation, that can't be replaced. Which just makes matters worse down the line when they are older. This could cause anything from arthritis to not being able to walk with the leg. I just would not take the chance. Fix it early, not later.

Even if they are not limping and they do have LP, damage is being done, you can't go and fix it to be all good once you get to a certain point.
