 Please don't give Ace
Hi, I understand that your baby is afraid of thunder storms, mine is too. As you can see lots of other little ones have minor breakdowns, too. I would strongly advise against giving a small dog Ace. It is a drug I am very familiar with as a horse tranquilizer. It is extremely powerful, and has a strange way of magnifying whatever an animal's mental state is immediately prior to the drug taking effect. So, if you administer Ace to an animal that is already in a fearful state, the fear becomes intensified. I have been involved with horses since 1968, and my husband is a racehorse trainer who grew up on a horse and cattle farm. I would suggest avoiding drugs. If your little one has a crate, try putting baby in the crate, then putting the crate in the bathtub (empty tub, of course). Some dogs find comfort hiding out like this until the storm blows over.
