At least tricks that worked for me. As quick as I can get there, taking a cold shower with minimal lighting in the bathroom, eating a few pieces of plain chocolate and a cold rag over my eyes usually works if I can catch it fast enough. Any tips you've got I'll try!
Despite suffering from them, the fact that you can have a headache that renders you helpless, literally blinds you with sparkly, fuzzy vision and hurts so bad that all you can do is vomit and writhe in pain just baffles me. Thank goodness I only get one every other month or so. Whew.
What helps my migraines the most is imitrex. But since I'm uninsured, I really can't afford $300 dollars for medicine right now, so I've been taking Excedrin. If I feel it starting in the back of my neck I take tension headache by excedrin. If my head is feeling stuffy (which usually leads to a migraine) I take Sudaphed sinus headache, or another sinus headache medicine. Energy drinks help a lot too, like your tricks though, I gotta drink one asap (I used to drink 5redbulls a day!) I think what helped most was getting off BC. I was on it to prevent ovarian cysts, then they put me on that one where you only have your cycle like 4x a year...w/ that I had migraines everyday, so one day I just quit taking it, and they've been better. I also did accupuncture which was around the same time I quit BC, so it could be that too. Another thing that works for me is telling myself "I don't get migraines, I'm not getting a migraine, I never had a headache, etc"...remember how I posted that I was getting them soo much, I always thought I had one and it became a mental thing, so now it's like hypnotizing myself. I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes it helps, and when your in pain you really don't care what helps!

My mom eats chocolate too to help her with them. I never noticed a difference, rather I eat choc. or not..maybe that's because I eat it all the time, LOL.

The thing that sucks about mine most is that there's no telling why I get them. I've had tests done, MRI's, been to a nuerologist and everything..and no one can tell why I get them.
