She even offered her her own fruit. When I would feed her some banana she would take it and bring it to Lana. That was the sweetest thing I have ever seen a dog do. Ever since Lana became more relaxed with us she changed. She started biting everything and the worst thing is she bites Lili. She jumps on her neck, graps hard, and just yanks back and forth. Since she is shorter than Lili she bites from the bottom and somethimes she tries to climb on her back and grab her from the top. I truly don't think that this is a play thing becuse it looks like it is not - it is more of a dominance behavior. I ofthen see her grab Lili on the ear or tail and just pull as much as she can. Lili takes it most of the time but now she started changing too. Whenever the two are together they just chase each other and bark like there is no tomorrow. I don't mind this but I mind when they start fighting. Lana loves to jump on Lili and bite and I don't like this one bit. I think that it is affecting Lili a lot. She has never attacked anyone before and two days ago she started biting my boyfriend. This was completely out of the blue - she never did something like this before. I don't know if this is because of Lana or not, but I am worried. |
To me...unless someone gets hurt - this is normal for a puppy - When Cheri was young - she would HANG on Chanels long face hair and Chanel would race down the hall dragging Cheri hanging from her face - She would yelp every once in a while and it's HARD to Not interfere.... but they worked out their play style and have a BLAST together now - not once was either hurt.
I found if I kept picking up Chanel or Cheri to stop this playing - it seemed to make it worse....so I just watched them really carefully - they DO like to scream for Drama still - but I've seen Cheri scream when Chanel was a good 2 feet away - lol...It sounds normal - and as far as the puppy biting YOU or someone else - stopping it right away and saying No Bite helps...
