I think the KEY point here is that at 5 months your baby only weighs 2lbs!! Plus the fact that you can feel his little bones. My Vet always feels my 5 month old Mango's body. He says that it is a sign of a healthy little girl NOT to feel her bones; he does this because I have been concerned about her finnicky eating habits. He tells me to feed her 3 times a day until she is at LEAST 6 months old.
A 5 month old at 2 lbs should DEFINITELY be fed more than once a day; it is crucial for its healthy development.
