I took Trixie with me to Lowes once and swore I'd NEVER do it again!

Every two seconds someone wanted to pet her or ask me questions...which isn't all that fun when you are actually there for a reason, i.e. to buy things and can't. Anyway, I went to the same Lowe's not long ago and heard them tell someone that they didn't allow dogs anymore because someone was bitten by a customer's dog once.
I guess it really just depends on the individual store. I would suggest you check with them ahead of time and if they say 'no,' leave em at home. (I think mine prefer sleeping on a cushy bed anyway...

) If you feel like you are have to 'sneak' to get your furbaby in (which I cannot understand the appeal, for the life of me) it's probably not a good idea.
