No puppy kisses in the mouth for me either....it's gross. He licks himself everytime after he pees....gross. I give him lots of hugs and he can lick my arm or hand.
I thought it was just me. Im glad you published this thread. I wanted to ask the question but thought I would get a lot of heat for it. I didn't grow up with animals either, my family still can't believe I have a dog. I love him to death as well but kissing on the mouth/face is not allowed. He will try to sneak one in though! (see pics)
I agree with everyone else, it is your preference, you are not a bad mom for not allowing it.
