My little guy is just over 5 months! I just love the heck out of him but the barking is something else. Sometimes I think he just likes to hear himself! We did buy a book about Yorkies and have been trying it's suggestion, which is to hold a cookie between your eyes so he looks right at you and praising him when he does a quiet bark, like the wind-up to the bark and telling him "good bark". It's supposed to teach them that a low bark is all that is needed, and it just doesn't work with Vinnie. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well, if he hasn't discovered it yet, maybe he won't!
