Personally I'd never ever leave a dog outside, especially a mastiff. They are so sensitive and need to be with their family, they'd just be heartbroken if left outside. I was PMing with someone on here who actually does have a mastiff and she gave me a wonderful tip to begin early by teaching a "it's a baby" phrase to initiate a calm nature. I thought this was a great idea. Also, I would never bring in another dog, regardless of it being a yorkie or a different breed, unless my other dog was ready and calm enough to handle a new living thing in the house. The big guy would have to be just perfect with his manners, or else I'd push back the yorkie date until he was ready. |
I also have a hard time leaving a dog outside but I know a lot of people that do it, and bring the dogs in for the evening. I like my doggies inside with me all the time
