I was recently wondering the same thing. I can certainly see the potential for it. Particularly with those of us who are on Yorkie or other forums and we believe one of the little ones we love are in pain or danger. It could be easy to pull at heartstrings and have a person worried sick over a puppy that doesn't even exist.

I guess this would be a good reminder for me to remember not to get caught up in one and send any money. The scammers are only in control if I write the checks.
