I work for 2 groomers. How we do it there is people start to drop off their dogs at 8:00 in the morning. (They usually do 20 dogs a day.) They will ruff in a dog, that is they will clip toenails, brush the fur out and clip what needs to be clipped depending on the breed of dog. Then I (Im the bather) will take the dog that is ready to bath and give it a bath, clean the ears and do the anals. Then I will take the pup to the person that is drying that day and then they dry it with a dryer and if it is a big dog like a Lab they will hand dry it some then put it in the drying cage for a while to get the dampness off of him. Then when the dog is dry we take it back to the cage and when the groomer is ready for it she will finished him and call his mom and dad to say he is ready. So for doing 20 dogs a day we do it like that. Sometimes we get an old dog and the people want us to do it all at once so the dog dosnt have to stay all day.But that is how we do it where I work Everything goes in steps like that. The groomer finishes up while the other pets are getting their baths and blow dry.
