Well, I have tried to get mine to eat just about every brand of quality dry food out there and they refused them all except the Royal Canin.
Some they would take in their mouths then spit out, others they would just sniff at and pass. They prefer the small puppy variety but will eat the Yorkshire type.
Royal Canin does not include wheat gluten, but it does have corn gluten which seems to cause problems with some dogs. I wish I could get mine on a somewhat better dry food -- preferably with no gluten at all and less protein, but they won't have it.
They have never had any problems from the Royal Canin, so until I find something else they will eat I guess I'll stay with it.
They don't like any canned dog food, but do like the Natural Balance rolls. |
