Im not sure if this will help anyone but I recently noticed that Pete absolutely does not like to pee and poo in the same spot so I put down two pads right next to eachother and we havent had a single accident in almost 3 months (knock on wood). Its also kinda funny because one pad will only have pee and the other only poo even though the pads are practically overlapping.
As for giving praise and treats even if you dont see it; Pete will usually have a certain prance coming out of the bathroom with those eyes asking for a treat, then we walk into the bathroom together to make sure there's something fresh and if there is I give him treats. Just be carefull cause it wont be long till they try to trick you into free treats, sometimes Pete will go into the bathroom then come out all excited like "mom come look what I did" but when I check its spotless
! You just gotta love em!
