I've never had good luck using crate training myself - seems like none of my dogs minded peeing and pooping in their beds - LOL! I used an exercise pen with Sadie with Simple Solutions training pads. I put her bed, food, water, 2 pads, and a couple of toys in there, and she slept in the pen until she wasn't having very many accidents. Now she sleeps in bed with me. When I was home, I left the door to pen open and she would run in there to do her business. This setup worked really well with her and she was about 90% toilet trained by 5-6 months (which I thought was great given the reputation Yorkies have for being hard to train). She's 10 months old now and has occasional "mistakes" but for the most part she is totally potty trained.

You just need to find a system that works for you. Hang in there!!
