I just read some of the information about it. The only Tick species that it treats is the American Dog Tick. It is not effective against the Deer Tick (and you do NOT need to live in an area with Deer to have Deer Ticks around).
Check for prevalence of Lyme's disease in your area, and if you have it, I would not use Revolution - I would use one of the products which is labeled for Ticks (Advantix or Frontline Plus). My dog tested positive for Lymes when we got her - her prior owner had been using a product not labeled for Ticks.
