Not luxating patellas

This may be totally different from what you are experiencing with your dog but I thought I would mention that
Mya had a little clicking noise in her hock (ankle). My vet said it was NOT luxating patella. He said not to give her calcium such as tums because the latest research shows that extra calcium makes arthritis worse or can contribute to it when the dog gets older. He said the spoonful of yogurt a day was fine that I was giving her. He added that If I was really worried that I could give her gulcosamine but assured me that it was nothing to worry about. My knees have cracked since I was 3 years old. They sound much worse than the occasional "click" from Mya.
