Will someone please explain the concept of not using roll up newpaper to gently spank your pup when he pottys in the wrong place. I have been using the praise method to train my pup for about two months. My pup will go potty with the praise method outside when I take him. However, he still will potty in the house in between the time I take him out. I usually takes him about every 45 minutes. While in the crate he holds himself about 4 hours while I am at work, so I know he can hold it between the times I take him out. In frustration I popped him with newspaper and now he goes to the door when he needs to potty.
