Default type

When a breeder uses the term..type or typey it is a dog that runs true to the standard..not overly long or lanky..but short backed, square, smaller features as oppose to a larger terrier type...you can use the word type to descibe the overall appearance...but when you heard a breeder say they breed "to type"..they mean as close to the standard look as possible.
