Like I said before, accidents happen and The only concern should be for your little female even at 8 pounds she will have a VERY hard time giving birth to the bigger pups. And Yes it could kill her. Now say she had a accidental breedding with a 6 pound chi oops but they would not be as worried because of the size match. I hope that kinda explaines what I mean and most others would feel the same.
