Aggressive animals are the most difficult to rehome. Between training and neutering, the new owner is going to be looking at immediately pouring a lot of money into the dog. If it was mine, I would GIVE it away to a home I knew was going to give him a better chance. |
I get what you are saying, completely. However, I've heard repeatedly that you should never give an animal away unless you know the new family well. Too many people out there with bad intentions. Our paper here runs an ad everyweek reminding people that pets that are "free to good home" often end up going to a "loving family" who's full intent is to turn around and sells for a profit (to anyone who's willing to pay) Personally, if I were giving up one of my guys for any reason, I would not risk giving them away.
