Hi, my sister was having so much trouble with her Yorkie's coat that she decided to get a "puppy cut". With working, the kids, and a husband, she is finding it much easier now. Her Yorkie's coat would mat-up right after you combed her out. I think the type of coat makes a difference too.
Think about it, maybe a puppy cut is the way to go.
